At the library we also had Jr. FLL sessions. This was similar to FLL, except there are younger kids and Library Initiative 4 they use basic Lego blocks and motors. In Jr. FLL the kids are more focused on the project aspect over the robot, to develop the interest in robotics and to get the kids interested in robotics at a young age. The goal is to inspire kids to continue in the path of science and technology through linking the 'project' and 'robot' and showing them to be one in the same. This is achieved not by giving the kids a robot to build but by giving them just the topic and letting them pick for themselves what to make for the robot aspect. This robotics program gives the kids a good head start for whatever they decide to do in the future.
